    aceptable temps for Pentium M

Hello, I have a question about the Prntium M 1.4Ghz, code name: banias.
The reasonI ask is becouse in my dell latitude d600 it is running about 64C when stressed with prime 95. So does that seem aceptable?

64C under stress? yeah thats fine, Throttling point (or TJunction Max as its properly called) is about 90C on an Intel CPU

Also remember that almost NOTHING you do on your computer will get it as hot as Prime 95 does.

For instance: My CPU idles at about 29-32 depending on the temperature, under "normal load" (not Prime95) I have never seen it exceed 45
Prime 95 makes it to 59 quite easily.

To put it into context, my Girlfriends laptop hits 74 under normal load, I wouldn't dare run Prime95 on that.

    Hope it helps :)

Hey thanks agoin for the quick reply. ohh and by the way just if anyone is wondering its 64C o/c to 1.93 Ghz and fsb at 137.6mhz at a 14x mutiplier, I hated the "throteling/speedbost" it would do so I just forced it to stay at 14x multiplier. So im my own oppinion it is aceptable and a quite faster now. The fan in the latitude is somewhat quite, so its not bothersome. Ill brobably end up opening it and undusting it this weekend.
