    Missing 1 Gig Of Ram?

I went to play CSS today and i notices half my usual FPS was gone, i figured i had some memory leaks or somthing so i went ot see how much was being used. I looked at it said 100% adn it didnt have any programs that tak alot open (Besides CSS) so i closed CSS then closed all programs (i left Ventrilo on cause i was talking) and i was still using 73%, so i went to the porformace tab and it showed i only was using 300 mbs in the cash and had like 300 free. BUT it said i had 2038 total. I took some screen shots. I also tryed Wincleaner Memory Optimizer and it got down to 50% but wouldnt go any lower. Is 1 or 2 of my Ram Cards failing, or is it an overheat??

    Specs:

    Intel Duo Core 2.13 Ghz
    ATI Radeon X1600
    2 gigs ram ddr2 4 sticks

    Hi.
One thing I can tell you for sure:
If you were in trouble in some of memory banks ram, blue screens of death would make visits to your PC every once in a while.
Try restarting your pc and reopen CSS.
    Let us know the results!!

I saw something unusual on your Task Manager screen; Windows was using quite a LOT of your RAM as kernel memory, over 916 MB of it nonpaged, which is HIGHLY unusual.

As a comparison, my own Windows 7 x64 system which has an uptime of 3 days and 8 hours only has a usage of about 271 MB of Paged and 45 MB Nonpaged Kernal memory.

Glad to know restarting your PC solved the problem though. And yes, i suspect your loss of FPS is related to all the paging windows had to do for the game because it could not be loaded to RAM.

Solarmystic made a good point when he mentioned the excessive use of ram in Windows Kernel. It is nice to know that restart Windows solved the problem. I also agree with the suspicion Solarmystic: "(...) i suspect your loss of FPS is all related to the paging of windows Had to be the game because it could not be loaded to RAM."
Since the problem seems to have been resolved, I ask that you report this thread as solved - just click the last icon at the top right of this post and do it.
If, on the other hand, there is something more to tell about your problem, let us know.
