Quick question about my External USB Drive
I have my WD 1tb drive permanently connect to the Rig and have no intention of changing that, just wondering if I tick the box marked in yellow in the graphic I will see much performance gain ?

Just wanted to add Guys that I enabled it and rebooted and it really does make a vast difference in speed

If the better performance option is checked and the USB HD is always connected, would one have to use Safely Remove prior to shutting down the laptop? I understand that shutting down and manually disconnecting the USB HD are not the same but am curious as to how the OS will nterpret it.
