Windows Media Player 12 doesn't play the MP4 and SRT together, but does play AVI and SRT together. I have the Shark007's codec pack installed.

Doesn't work:
movie.mp4
movie.srt

Does work:
movie.avi
movie.srt

Any ideas?

If you have Sharks pack, it should work. maybe a setting that needs to be enabled.

You can also try to put the video, audio, srt into a MKV conatiner. far less troublesome than MP4 at times, especially with subs

choose to disable Windows Media Foundation on the SWAP TAB of the Shark007 settings application. You MAY also need to disable the Microsoft Video decoder.

choose to disable Windows Media Foundation on the SWAP TAB of the Shark007 settings application. You MAY also need to disable the Microsoft Video decoder.

I disabled those settings, per your suggestion, and it worked. Thank you!

By the way, I found that I only need to disable Microsoft Video decoder to make it work. The other setting, Windows Media Foundation, don't seem to have any effect on it, whether on its own or in conjunction with Microsoft Video decoder.
