Drag n Drop across drives

I have a 1 Tb internal HDD and my old 500 Gb WD Ext HDD. Recently I moved some of my folders from the Ext Drive to the Internal Drive. That was when I noticed that Win 7 allows Drag n Drop [MOVE] within the same drive, but Drag n Drop becomes [COPY] across different drives. I know this is really not a huge issue but I'd like to know if there's some way I can Drag n Drop [MOVE] files across different drives.

There are two options available to you:
  1. Do the drag operation as normal with the left-button, but just before you release the mouse at the target location, press and hold the <SHIFT> key.
  2. Use the right-button to perform the drag. When you release the mouse button at the target location, you will be presented with a menu from which you can choose "Move Here", "Copy Here", "Create Shortcut Here" or "Cancel".
