Connect, but no internet access

Hi guys,

I'm having a strange issue. My laptop will connect perfectly fine to my home network, other private networks, and many public hotspots. But there seems to be an issue recently with a few local hotspots around town here (Starbucks, McDonalds). I can go to one Starbucks and connect perfectly fine, then drive right down the street to another and while I am connected, it says I have no internet access. The guy sitting right next to me is logged onto the network perfectly fine. Same thing happens at McDonalds.

I've been able to connect perfectly fine here before, but suddenly this problem has continued. I'm completely at a loss for what to do. I've rebooted, disabled and re-enabled the network card, tried to troubleshoot the problem (which results in no information). It doesn't make sense to me how I can't connect, but this cat sitting right next to me can.

Any ideas?

The darned thing shows me that I am connected with terrific signal strength, but no internet access.

connect problems

I have the same problem. The only way I know around is to first access with Chrome or Firefox so I can access the 3rd site page to accept terms. Does anyone know whether it is a settings problem?

Hello,

Try removing your wireless network profiles stored by following this guide. Reconnect again to your own SSID (wireless network) and make sure to enter the correct network encryption key. Here's a more detail guide.

Please disable any Firewall or Security Software for now.
