Random BSODs in W7 H Prem 64bit

Hey, I appreciate any help with this problem. The BSODs are not 100%, but they always happen when I'm playing a video game (usually WoW). Most of the time the system just halts and never creates a dump, but occasionally it does (which is why I've waited so long to post this).

This system is a home built one running Win7 Home Prem 64bit. I installed the OS from an OEM disc a few months ago.

Thanks for the help
Richard

Richard hi and welcome

Both of these were caused by multiple things. Your video driver first and formost, but there are a few old drivers (ASACPI.sys 2005) that are known problems.

I would re-install the video driver

When upgrading your graphic driver you MUST remove all traces of the current driver. In order to do that we recommend using Guru3D - Driver Sweeper

When it is removed then download and install the fresh copy.

And update the drivers below.

Code:
ASACPI.sys fffff880`0408a000 fffff880`04092000 0x00008000 0x42476c4c 3/27/2005 22:30:36

How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

Wow, thanks for the fast reply Zigzag. I followed your directions for the video card and found the update for the ASACPI.sys (could of swore I installed that earlier) and removed my sound card drivers also (the majority of the remaining drivers). I haven't been able to locate an update to iaStorV.sys or amdxata.sys. Also UsbFltr.sys is from my Razer keyboard and they have not released Win7 drivers for this keyboard yet.

Anyways, thanks for the great advice, it's a little late for me now to try it out, but tomorrow I'll put it through it's paces and see what happens.

Well, here's my latest dump. I was able to get consistent crashes from Starcraft 2 so I guess I'll use that as my diagnostic tool. I was able to update all but the following drivers:
UsbFltr.sys - this is from my keyboard and Razer has not released a Win7 driver
iaStorV.sys - this is an Intel storage driver and I cannot find an updated version
spldr.sys - this is apparently a Windows driver, but can't it on MS' site
amdxata.sys - AMD driver, can't find an updated version

Thanks again for the help

Hi, sorry for the shameless bump. I posted the new dumps pretty late at night and got pushed back onto a later page. Hopefully someone can see something that I missed. I could also use help in trying to update these drivers:
iaStorV.sys
spldr.sys
amdxata.sys

I'm going to go ahead and uninstall the Razer drivers, I can still use my keyboard using the generic Windows drivers (just in case that's what is causing the problem)
