I am using Acronis True Image Home 2011 14.0.0 Build 5105. With this software I had created a set of 3 DVDs which are the backup of C Drive (Operating System Drive) and is bootable. It contains other softwares as well.
I want to know the method of recovering the C drive with the help of these 3 DVds in case if I require to do so. Please give step by step guidance.
I think any wrong step while recovering will erase the other partitions which are more important than the C drive since you can always format "C" drive and re-install but you cannot recover the contents of other partitions if they get deleted because of any wrong step. Therefore the Recovery becomes critical.
Going through the PDF help file - I could not understand the recovery procedure.
Therefore any elaborate step by step help would be most welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there
if its bootable then boot the first disk of the set and follow the instructions.

I prefer to make a USB bootable stick -- boot from that and then it will prompt me for the location of the backup files which could be on another USB drive or another hard disk drive or partition;

If you have the backup set on another partition it should take at the MOST around 15 - 20 mins to restore your OS.

The trouble with DVD's is you have to find them, wait until prompted to swap media and there is always the chance that a DVD could become defective.

When you make system backups always have TWO in case you get some uncorrectable error on one.

The chances of TWO devices having an error at the same time are virtually negligible.

Mr Jimbo45 - thanks for your suggestion. I will take the use of Pen drive in future and in case of using DVD - I will make two sets. I can also backup in the unused partition of my drive and burn it later on if required.
Thanks once again
