Windows 7 Gadgets not connecting to WIFI

I have wireless internet and I can surf the web just fine, but every time I try to open a gadget that needs internet connection it tells me that it cannot connect to service. Now I have tried every trick I could find on the internet, even resetting my computer to a time when the gadgets did work and nothing will get them back online! Please tell me some one has the answer to my delima.....I love my gadgets and miss being able to use them
