Decreasing of free space in C drive

Today, my free space for C drive was 49gb out of 70gb. But after loading some videos in youtube, the free space decreases to 47.9gb!! I have CCleaners and I do delete some of the system restores. Please help me cause I'm trying to save my computer space. I'm so desperate until I create my own system restore and delete them, but the space still remains at 47.9gb.

@ michellewjy did you check user profile in C drive because by default most of download is saved automatically in user profile...
here the path to check that: C:\Users\select your profile name\downloads
you can also try: Start Menu\your profile name\downloads

Also check the number of restore points you have & the total size being occupied by them on your C drive...
you check by:Start Menu\type "create restore point"\under "system protection"\click "configure"\under "disk space usage" check the total usage..

Lets know if this resolve the issue, if not then we will check further....

Because youtube is a web based video player it's highly likely that as you're watching videos, they're downloading to your computer (temporary internet files) so that if you view them again you no longer have any buffering to deal with.

I find that a very handy option (if using IE8 or 9) is to open the 'Internet Options' and select 'Delete browsing history on exit' then click the 'Delete' button and select what should be deleted when you close IE.

@deepakumar : checked the download file but they're just my items that i've downloaded. Windows did not download any default downloads. Oh, i also constantly delete and create restore points to gain more space, but no luck as well. Currently i have 3 restore points cause of some BSOD problems so i don't wanna delete those restore points yet until my computer is stable.

@Orbital Shark: Did what you've said, but i use mozilla firefox as my default browser.

I've just downloaded firefox to see what settings are available

You can infact choose to have browsing history deleted when you exit. Click Tools -> Options 'Privacy' tab and select 'Use custom settings for history' from the dropdown box then click 'Clear history when firefox closes'



You can even click the 'Settings' button to give more deletion options

already said & done lot of things but i'm preparing a check-list for you just try(skip those you've performed earlier, while doing this still check the step shown by OrbitalShark for Mozilla that at times also help)
here is the list:
1) disk cleanup
2) delete %temp files% -- Click Start, and then click Run. Then in the open box, type ” %TEMP% ” without quotes and then click OK. press ctrl+a in the keyboard and press delete
3) clean-up system restore (since you said you keep more then couple of them because of BSOD so i'll say skip this)
4) disable hibernation --Click Start, and then click Run. Then in the open box, type ” cmd ” without quotes and then click OK. From an administrative command prompt, type “powercfg -h off” to get that space back.
5) NTFS compression --Just right click a folder, hit Properties...Go to Advanced option...Hit Compress
6) remove unwanted programs
7) remove internet cookies & browsing cache
8) use disk analyzer -- Though you might have tried all the above steps , there is chance that you may be still have the low disk space error. So at that time , its better to use a free disk analyzer to know which files have consumed lots of space.
9) use CCleaner to free disk space instantly -- Download and install freeware CCleaner

Hope this help to resolve you issue, if not please revert so we check more on this...
