So users at work have Xp or Win 7 notebooks.
For the XP users, they use mobile broadband, then cisco vpn to connect to our network and transmit a text file via an access database they use to a mapped drive.

For the Win 7 users, they use cisco anyconnect instead(latest vpn doesn't work wirelessly)

The XP users connect with broadband, then vpn then they can transmit via the access database.

The Win 7 users have to manually open the mapped drive to see its contents before transmitting. It doesn't seem to realise that the notebook is connected to the network and needs the mapped drive to be kick started.

Is there a reason/solution for this?

Use the logon script to auto map the drive for them would be the simple way around this. -WS
