Video out on really old GeForce

Here's the story. I have an old nVidia GeForce FX 5200 and it has S-Video out. The problem is the picture is too pixelated and small. Under Windows XP, I was able to adjust the image size and flicker filter easily. However, in Windows 7, these options are non-existant. And, yes, I have the latest video drivers for my card.

What do I do to get these adjustments back?! (And don't say "Install Windows XP" because, despite my name, I like Windows 7 too much.)

Do your latest drivers support Windows 7? Since I have heard that Nvidia has decided not to produce Windows 7 compatible drivers for anything below the GeForce 6 Series. If the driver doesnt support Windows 7 you may be prone to a BSOD since I had one with an old Nvidia card like that. So I would advise you to to tread carefully. Sorry that this isnt a solution.

the good news is you can find 6 series cards with video out for cheap....under $75 i think.

Did you install a driver for the card it is it using the default Windows driver? Not that there is a Windows 7 driver for it but there was a Vista beta driver that Nvidia released for the FX series (and works in 7),

ForceWare Release 95

which is about the best you can hope for with that old card.

Best guess: Card isn't supported in Seven.

Ok, so I have the latest drivers from NVIDIA...according to what I've gathered, the only solution is to get a different, cheap card. Luckily Christmas is around the corner, heh. Well, does there happen to be third part solutions? I haven't found any....

anyway, thanks for the help; it's too bad I only have an AGP slot and I don't really need to build a new PC (although I'd like to)

I have that same card in my old PC and I do have a piece of advice on it and the drivers for it. The 93.71 driver set should be the latest driver you should use for it, anything newer killed the performance by 90%. This is on XP so I am not sure about Vista or 7. This was back when they started the Forceware driver sets that were for many cards instead of individual sets for each series. When they released the first Forceware for that card a performance test alerted me to very low performance and low and behold it was the newer drivers. I rolled back and was never able to use anything newer than 93.71 and that PC still has that card and driver set in it.

They might have fixed this in a later set but I gave up and stayed with what worked.
