New computer build(advice)

Hey there fellow Sevenforum users next month mid or near the end of January I am getting some cash and I would like to build myself a new computer since mine is really just falling apart to be quite honest...

My current computer specifications are this:
P5Q PRO
Q6600
4gb G-Skill RAM
GTX260
NZXT HUSH case
400GB Hard drive

I was wondering what in it I should keep, I know that I am not going to keep the Hard Drive nor the case and the CD drive and considering I can't figure out why my CD drive is not working is probably my mother board so those three.

I have picked out these so far if you could recommend me something, I still need to find Speakers and a monitor. I would also like to upgrade to 64bit Windows 7

Case: NCIX.com - Buy NZXT Phantom EATX Steel Computer Case 5X5.25 7X3.5/2.5 With Integrated Fan Controller - Red - PHAN-001RD In Canada.

RAM:

Graphics Card: I am still debating between the Radeon HD or the GTX not sure.

Processor:

CPU Cooler:

Motherboard:

Hard drive

CD/DVD Drive

Power Supply:

I guess you can say that I am pretty confused about what to get, I would like this to be a gaming computer, any advice would help my budget at the moment is 1,000 CND

For RAM, you can pick up some Corsair DDR3-1600 stuff for only $45, though if you spend another $20, you can get a nice heat sink on them and the whole pairing thing. I bought Corsair stuff for their amazingly good warranties, lifetime on the RAM, 8 years on the Power Supply (get the modular one, it's worth it). Buy a nice case too, like something from Antec. Unless you plan on modding the case. Graphics cards are a wash, they're all the same right now, especially with the 69xx series release. Buy what you're comfortable with (for me, AMD). CPUs, if you're doing mostly gaming, then it's a wash, go AMD for really cheap prices, or Intel. If you want to do encoding and DVD ripping, and audio editing, and so on, then Intel is the best. Otherwise, gaming performance is almost the same. Buy a Sony DVD drive, as they use good NEC chips, not the crappy Marvel ones. Buy a Western Digital caviar black hard drive for storage, and wait about another four months before buying an SSD for the 28nm parts to hit the market. Buy a motherboard that's best for what you're going to be putting in your system, but try to stick with Gigabyte, or ASUS if you're into overclocking. Buy a good cooler, I'll reference you to the reviews for that. Buy new case fans as well. The 120mm ones from Scythe (the Gentle Typhoon series) I'm using right now, and are completely silent, can't hear them right next to me.

i5's on Newegg are reasonably priced the AMD 6 core black edition's at 3.2Ghz are an even better deal!! Which my custom build is based around. Corsair RAM is a good choice and Seagate Drives are the best but I guess it's just a personal preferance. If I was you get an Antec powersupply.
