Sigh... I can't play it. When I first installed it I had problems with the game's speed. I fixed it with Saints Row 2 Powertools. Got a perfect synch, but after I got the game at normal speed it started crashing. Namely, every time I end a mission (any mission, before the cutscene starts). Has anyone managed to fix the crashes? I know many could play the game with no problems on Windows 7 after using Powertools.

The devs won't give support to players on windows 7 btw... they're cool like that.

You need to compare the game's system requirements to what you actually have.....

Saints Row 2 PC Gets System Requirements - Here's what you need to have - Softpedia

It basically looks like your system doesn't meet the game's requirements. And based on what you list as system specs, it looks like you have a lap top, so no, you probably can't update the hardware on it. However, the manufacturer can give you a more definitive answer to hardware upgrades than I can.

As to Windows 7 support, well since the game was released before Windows 7 came out, tech support is using their "get out of jail free" by blaming Windows 7 for the issues you have, even if it's not Windows 7 fault.

Good luck.

I wouldn't hurry to blame the specs for this one either, for two reasons: First, without using powertools to speedhack the game into normality, I can play the game on max details with 25 FPS, which is good. I took out some eyecandy anyway because it doesn't please my eyes and gives me extra FPS. Second, I used to play this on my desktop PC, which was far inferior to what I have right now.

I have to admit though, it probably is something hardware related since many people manage to play the game. I'm just trying to figure out what exactly is causing it. Until I find out, I guess I'm stuck with waiting for some new drivers.
