Windows 7 CRT monitor fonts tips : Disable Smooth edges

Hi,

I just found how to completly disable ClearType in 7 : Control Panel / System and Security / System / Advanced system settings / Settings under Performance / Uncheck Smooth edges of screen fonts.

My fonts are easier to read now. Hope this will help someone.

Thank you so much for this post, I have literally spent that past 3 hours trying to figure out how to fix this.

If anyone else is having any of the problems below this will most likely fix them, I know its what I was trying to do.

• Fix the text in the reading pane of outlook 2007 in incoming messages to be more readable
• get rid of calibri or make it more readable
• get rid of segoe or make it more readable
• reduce general "blurryness" of cleartype fonts
