Need for Speed Most Wanted wont install on windows 7

greeting all

ive been trying to get Need for Speed Most Wanted to install on windows 7 64-bit but when i try it says i need direct x 9.0 to install it and the install terminates, i have 11 on my OS so i dont know what the problem is, does anyone know a way to get around this issue so i can install it?

Download and install this first (it will add/update any missing DirectX 9 and 10 files, and it won't affect DirectX 11),

Download details: DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)

then try installing the game again.

just install on another machine with xp, copy the folder to your windows 7. it works for me
