pictures distorted in XP

:sarc:When I view animated tags done by me in psp they're all distorted, lines running thru them, etc. These only show on my computer, am told the people viewing them don't see it. I've reinstalled psp and AS, to no avail. I have no virus, so is there anyhing at all I can do to solve this or is my computer in need of replacing?

Could you provide a screenshot of the issue?
I'm curious if it will show in the screenshot, it will help in diagnosis and is relevant.
Since you are using a image editor I'm guessing you know how to make a screenshot but here's a quick how to, just in case.

maybe a better shot yes, the horizontal lines. They're all moving rapidly in animation

yes, I am seeing no notable distortion there. This means it's processing correctly and the problem apparently lies somewhere in your video settings or with your computer.

As Mitchell stated above, more information about your computer would be helpful at this point.
If it's a factory machine i.e. dell/hp/compaq we just need the model number ex: Pavilion dv6000

I would agree with Maguscreed but if you have a desktop PC and not laptop I would unplug the monitor to computer lead/cable and plug it back making sure the screws are secure. Easy quick thing to eliminate!

Then I would say that it is a little long in the tooth. The processor is a bit slow and you don't say what RAM you have but at best you have 1 Gb, that's just the bare minimum to run Windows 7 32bit.
