Hi folks!

I guess my question goes here. If not, admins are welcome to move it.

I have bought Windows 7 Home Premium. I installed and activated it with no problem. But then I have a question: I think the message "Ask for real Microsoft-software" message should be gone. That blue box next to the Product-ID. Is it possible to get rid of it?

I know its supposed to be there, but it would be nice to get rid of it, now that I have bought and activated Windows 7.

If you are activated and recognized as genuine by the system, the blue logo must be there. Don't do nothing. And how many times a day do you peek into system properties for it to matter anyway?

Just where, what dialog box/window, are you seeing this? Is it on the desktop?

If this is in one of the sys info windows/dialog boxes (like Performance) this is normal.

Sorry I don't know of a way to remove it. But then why would I even care. I only open that window to perform some type of maintenance or something like that.

If it's on the desktop there is a way to turn that off. I don't have the specifics but a google search, or a search of this site, will turn up the correct way.
