Organizing Itunes

Hi, I've a lot of musics and songs that has the same album name but different artist and I want them to be grouped into ONE album only. I googled about it and the solution was checked the part of compilation button and yes it did work, but a lot of people say its troublesome? Then i googled more and some say its better to put the same artist/album name in the album artist field.

So now im confused which to use. Any suggestions?
I am using Itunes 10 btw

It doesn't really matter which player you use, if you have a compilation album with different artists, you can place the "Various Artists" in the Album Artist field, then place the actual Artist for each song under Artist (Trackartist). This way you'll get all the songs under one album, organized by Album name, but still have actual song artists for each song in the playlist.
