Windows Live Slideshow pictures out of order

HP Laptop dv6 - Windows 7 Home Edition

My pictures does not play in order (date taken) when viewing slideshow in Windows Live Photo Gallery. Is this normal? My pictures can be viewed in order (date taken) in Windows Photo Viewer.

You might have to customize your slideshow. You can specify the order in which pictures are shown, whether or not pictures in subfolders will be included in your slide show, the type of transition you want, the duration of the transitions, and other aspects of a slide show presentation. Try this:

On the start screen, scroll to Tasks, click Settings, and then click Pictures. You can customize your slide show using the options on this screen.

Click Save to save the slide show settings.
