New ASUS G73sw - Windows64, BSOD crash while in sleep mode

Hi all,

I just purchased my new ASUS G73sw about two weeks ago. Performed a clean installation of Windows 7 64bit, and all of my software (All legal).

I have received 4 crashes at random times, each time my PC has been asleep for an extended period of time.

The .dmp file is saying the probably cause is: ntoskrnl.exe

No clue what to do here. I would prefer NOT to do a clean installation just because reinstalling and resetting everything takes forever. Is there an easy update/fix here?

Try installing the latest chipset drivers from Intel; while you're at it, you might as well install the other drivers the utility shows: Intel® Driver Update Utility

Install SP1: Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

If the BSODs persist, run driver verifier: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/101379-driver-verifier-enable-disable.html

After Verifier has caused a BSOD, please post up a full jcgriff2 report: http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html
