Problems removing anti virus icon

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit, and I recently unistalled my Avira anti-virus program to install Avast. The problem is that the Avira icon under Control Panel/Sytem and Security is still there! I tried using Revo uninstaller with Hunter Mode and still nothing worked. Any help of how to get rid of this icon? Here's a pic

Try the Avira registry cleaner.

Avira RegistryCleaner - Download

If that doesnt help, try the CCleaner registry cleaner.

If still no go, search the computer for .cpl files and see if you can identify the avira cpl. Be careful, dont go around deleting randomly and make a backup before deleting.

I tried the Avira registy cleaner as well as the one in CCleaner, and nothing worked. And where should I be looking for these cpl. files? I can't find any.

.CPL files are located in C:\windows\system32. Every icon in the control panel has a corresponding .cpl file.

Look for avconfig.cpl in particular.
