I worked with a technician from Verizon for 4 hours yesterday. It won't let me create a new user for one, it has about 90 processes running and they are all dllhost.exe files which the tech said are usually viruses. We tried going in and shutting down all processes but win 7 home needs some and it still wouldn't let us open or create anything.

When you try to play a game it says EXEtender.exe is missing. When you try to install it, it says Installshield error (ikernel32.exe) error.

From what he says it's toast. It won't let you go back to a restore point because the virus has wiped them all out.
Any Suggestions?
Thank You

Can you boot Win7 to download, install and run Malwarebytes?

If not try Safe Mode with Networking. Safe Mode

If this fails, burn to CD free Bitdefender rescue disk, boot to run a full scan: FREE Bootable AntiVirus Rescue CDs Download List

You can copy out your files if necessary using Win7 DVD or REpair CD: Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console

To repair damaged files after cleaning up the computer, run SFC -SCANNOW Command

If you cannot boot into Win7, use DVD or Repair CD Command Line to Run SFC -SCANNOW in Command Prompt at Boot.

If all else fails, try running Gateway Factory Recovery: Gateway Support - Full Factory Recovery

Or use your DVD or find one to clean reinstall with Product Key on COA sticker: Clean Reinstall steps

Thanks Greg
