Ownership After Effect; Icon Unknown

For some reason i needed to take the ownership of the whole windows folder.
Didn't expect for something like this to happen next

Every Installed program, has UNKNOWN icon. Aka the blank icon with a small window....something.

Decided to plan to give back the ownership to TrustedInstaller, It gives me no way.

System Restore is dead here aka Disabled intentionally due to too much disk space consuming.

Sooo.... Does Anyone know? I know i still could use the PC after all that, with full function. Although the icons are kinda messed up, and it kinda gives me troubles.... Identifying the files...

Hoping somebody knows. Cause this is the only place where i can ask help for Windows 7 [ xD ]

(EDIT : If you really wanna know why i took ownership, its all cause of the explorerframe.dll. So lame, aint it?)

Well the problem is you went overboard. Taking ownership of the whole Windows directory?
Should not have done that.

Yep, went to far on that one guys. :(

You might see if doing a system restore at boot using a restore point dated before you did this may be able to help.

If not, then you'll most likely need to reinstall Windows 7 to fix this. I would recommend a custom install to have your currently installed Windows 7 placed in a C:\Windows.old folder in the new installation as a backup to be able to copy what you want from within the C:\Windows.old folder back into the new installation afterwards.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
