Hi,

my laptop is just half a year old. I bought a cooling plate for my laptop because i thought the reason was maybe overheating but it hasnt got better.

I had 3 or 4 bluescreens in the last 3 weeks and they always happen suddenly. I updated my graphics driver but the problem still exists.

Dont know if its important but i always install the suggested windows updates. There were some bigger updates in the last weeks(service pack for example).

My computer is pretty clean and i dont think the reason is a virus.

Please help me :(

several problems

1-Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%.

They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs.

Use this SPTD uninstaller DuplexSecure - Downloads

when you're done you can use this Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) in its place.

2-Old drivers from as far back as 2005 which need updating

How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

3-memory exception caused by partygaming.exe run memtest

Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program.

Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

Hi,

first of all thanks for your quick help ! ! :)

1)
I don't remember that i installed any CD-Virtualizing programm on my computer but i did what you told me. I startet the programm, updated it. Then i startet it again and clicked on "uninstall". hope that was correct.

2)
How can it be possible that there are drivers from back as 2005 installed on my laptop which is just half a year old? :sarc:
What are these kind of drivers you listed up there? Never heard of them. I'm gonna try to update them all and give an update in this thread.

3)
I did a ramtest last night with this programm. Found a non "iso" version in the internet which seems to be the program youre talking about?
Looks like my ram is working fine:
ramtest.png

Forgot to mention that i guess nearly always had the bluescreen when partygaming was running. It's an online poker client and the software is definately a bad one which takes a lot of ram in comparison with other programs.

Hi Marc, I realize this thread is old but perhaps you still get email notifications -

A couple questions , because I may have the same problem. Did you fix it? Was it cause by party gaming.exe? if it was, did you figure out a workaround or did you just stop running party poker? Thanks.
