Just got a bsod, would like to know what caused it and if i need to reformat to remedy it if its a virus or something

Is Windows 7 . . .
- x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? 64bit
- the original installed OS on the system? no
- an OEM or full retail version? retail
- OEM = came pre-installed on system
- Full Retail = you purchased it from retailer

- What is the age of system (hardware)? about 4-5 years im guessing, got it second hand but its been fine for 2 years
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) about a year now

Hello Tey & Welcome to SevenForums!

Could be an infection.
Which antivirus do you use?
Try doing a full scan of Malwarebytes and post up the results.

If you want to go further, do a SFC /SCANNOW

If it's not repairing it, do the SFC command, as it's quite useful!
