Solved help new build will only start in low res mode or safe mode

hi i have just built a new build for a friend using a asrock n68c-s ucc with 4gb of ballistix ddr 2 split across 2 stix plus a 1tb samsung hdd and an lg dvd rw and the only way i can get it to boot is in low res mode i have tryed adding a geforce 9600gt and still the same any ideas thanx in advance.

every time i try to install drivers either from cd or from usb (the most recent ones) iam greated by a bsod

*edit could it be a power problem i have a 550 psu installed

solved myself tryed a differnt monitor the one i was using could not handal nvidias defult settings even have 9600 gt purring away happily!!!
