Hi all,
Been thinking about getting a new monitor and just may indulge myself by getting a decent one.
My current monitor is a 25" Hannspree. It was inexpensive, and it shows. Light leaks, contrast changes when I move my head, and a bright spot that appears to be one end of one of the CCFL tubes. I bought it a couple of years ago mainly because it was cheap and large.
And also because my 20" Mitsubishi CRT was taking up a good portion of my new desk.
I also have a 15" MacBook Pro (2010) that has the best display I have ever seen on any computer. Excellent viewing angles, great contrast and color, no light leaks. The more I use it, the more I think "why not get an IPS display for my Windows 7 desktop?"
So, does anyone have an IPS monitor or any experience with one?
Any noticeable difference between s-IPS and the less expensive e-IPS?
Will a $460 24" s-IPS perform on par with a $1200 s-IPS? Ok, that may be a stupid question...but still
Does any one brand have an edge over the others?
Anything I haven't mentioned here, please feel free to let me know.
