to get the oem or retail version if u have a legit key for activation?


Basically I'm asking if you have the rtm any need to get the oem or retail version of windows 7?

If you have the RTM via MSDN or TechNet or something of that sort (which isn't possible yet), then no, as you get a key from being a subscriber anyway. Otherwise, yes.

But still how to get a legit OEM key ? they are provided with machines ?
or does the OEM setups gets preactivated ?

Hi all

Presumably you get an OEM key like you used to -- when you purchase the OEM copy you'll either get a single key for the copy of Windows you've bought or you can apply for a "Multi License pack" where you'll get say up to 10 keys depending on the volume licensing you've set up.

There aren't any "Individual" OEM copies available just yet but this will change soon I'm sure.
