When I open Explorer (Ver 9), in a Windows 7 laptop, immediately a window opens up titled "View Downloads Windows Internet Explorer"
In the window it says View and track your downloads and shows a program recently downloaded.
The program was RUN and SAVED. I can click on the program and delete it, but the thing comes up again every time I start Explorer. I've tried google for an answer and nobody else seems to have this issue. Can any of you help me out?

Ctrl-J would be the keyboard default for this to be opening if it was hit but this happens right when explorer opens and you don't touch anything else? One thing you could try is go to internet explorers options and go to the advance tab and reset the browser to its default settings and close the browser and reopen it and see if the issue is fixed..

Updating the Windows esp. with "Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2829530)" helped me with the problem
