I need to find hidusb.sys for HP touchsmart tm2t notebook pc.

Windows updated about a week ago and when doing so, deleted hidusb.sys out of my registry. Windows does not have a system restore point that is before the update point. Because of this problem, I cannot use any of the tablet settings. The pen and finger screen input devices to not work now. How can I find and put the file back into system32?

All and any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi evancm57, welcome to the forums, You should be able to extract the file off the win7 installation disc , As to why win update would delete the file I do not know seems very strange

Thank you for the response. The problem I have with this is that the hp tm2t does not have a floppy disk drive. Is there another way I can extract the file using a different method?

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated also.
