I have around 130GB free on my boot partition, and want to create a new 20GB partition to play with Win 8. Unfortunately, when I go into Win 7 Disk Management and have it query my c: drive, it only shows around 3GB as being available for repartitioning. I have just run Smart Defrag with the "Deep Optimization" option, which nicely defragged my system, however it did not move the existing files to the front of the disk in order to free up space for a new partition. Disk Management still says there is only around 3GB available for repartitioning. I had previously turned off my system restore function to try to get rid of "immovable files", but that didn't fully seem to do the job.
Is there a tool somewhere which will allow me to clear out some of that 130GB of free space so there are no files in it so that I can create a new partition in it?
Thanks
