window movie maker starts to lag when too many imported items are put on timeline. I think this is a known problem but im not sure if there is a solution yet. samething with window movie live maker, when too many things it refuses to save, or gets extremely laggy and slow. is there anyway to fix this?

i am currently using DDR1333 8 GB RAM and 2.0 ghz quadcore with a decent graphics card, so I don't understand why it would lag so bad.

You could set the affinity on the application to utilise all 4 cores if you want, press control+ALT+delete and open task manager, go to the processes tab and find the application running and right click>set affinity and choose how many cores to utilise.

Hope this helps

the thing is both movie makers always runs with 4 cores. i donno about setting priorities but when i checked in taskmanager, all 4 cores (8 threads) 8 boxes are all checked.
