Restrict editing in Word 2010 but allow page breaks

Hello,

I am trying to design a template in Word 2010 for letters that the company i work for can send out.

I want to restrict the editing of them but when i do this it greys out insert page break, which i need. Can this be changed?

What exactly are you trying to achieve? May be we can suggest other type of restriction?

I am trying to design letter templates for the staff to use however they have a habit of moving margins and changing colours and sizes of logos - basically going against all the company branding rules!

Any suggestions...?

First you need to activate Developer menu.

File - Options - Customize Ribbon - (On the right part of the window select check-mark on Developer tab) - Ok

When Developer menu is there, you need to select Rich Text Content Control (Aa) and then put that control in the desired place in the document.

Then do the restriction, but make sure you allow Editing forms (see screenshot).

This will make only that area editable. PM me for sample file.
There is only one disadvantage that I have found - you can not edit some elements, but you can copy them from other non-restricted document.

I have a similar problem, but I want to make a report template so making a 'form' is not an option. I want to lock down the styles but enable page and section breaks. Help appreciated.
