Solved Motherboard drivers work for Vista but not for 7

Ok, so as far as i'm aware all Vista drivers should also work with windows 7.

After installing Windows 7 over Vista i've come to realise that the drivers for the MB chipset and onboard audio won't intall on windows 7.

Any advice?

Thank

Ben

P.s my MB is an ASUS M2N-MX

I'd expect that Windows 7 can find audio drivers on its own. As for chipset drivers, I've actually looked at Asus' website and see none listed for Vista - just drivers for audio and RAID.

Unless you have any unknown or non-working devices listed in Device Manager, you probably needn't worry about it at all.

EDIT: I found a driver package at nVidia for the nForce 430/GeForce 6100 chipset that your motherboard uses. The latest available version is 15.49 dated October 2009.

Tried and tested.
Amazingly enough the compatability idea worked with the audio drivers but not with the Chipset drivers.

However windows 7 is running smoothly so i guess until it does something unusual it's case solved.

Thanks pebbly and Corazon!!
