HDTV Resolution on Asus 5670 1GB
hi i want to know can i set 1080p HDTV resolution on my Monitor ? theres a option to add 1080p24 format as display but when i select it i get a message 'forcing display mode tht exceeds the reported capablities of its EDID may result in a blank screen or permanently damage the display' currently i am using 720p HDTV resolution pls reply fast

No you can't. That monitor's native resolution is 1600x900,

Correct. Everything has to support what you're trying to do, not just one component.

You're already essentially there as 1600 x 900 and 1280×720 are both 16:9 aspect ratios.
