Solved Hyperlinks not working in Outlook and Word

Hyperlinks are not working, neither in Word nor in Outlook. I presume I have to set something somewhere but don't know what it is. In Outlook I get the dialog: General failure. The URL was ... . An error occurred in sending the command to the application. In Word nothing happens at all. No message, no opening of Firefox or IE.

My mind reading abilities are a bit slow today....

* What version of Outlook & Word are you using?

* How long have you had this problem?

* Have you a System Restore Point created PRIOR to the problem occurring?

* BTW >check to see if this applies.
In Outlook go to Tools > 0ptions > Mail format > Message Format and make sure html is selected > Apply

Problem Solved

Actually just downloaded and ran the Fixit (http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9657448) and everything is just fine now.
