Hello, I just registered today. I'm trying to dual boot windows 7 and snow leapord. The problem that I am getting is, that when I try to boot into Mac it says kernel panic or something like that and tells me I need to restart my computer. I keep restarting it and keep on getting the same thing. I'll start from the beginning on how I started off. Maybe you guys can find out something I missed or did wrong. First I put in snow leapard cd then when the installer loaded i went into utilities, then disk utilities. I then split my hard drive into two partions. First one i named Snow Leapord the second windows 7. Then after it erased everything and partioned I installed snow leapord on partion 1 then windows 7 on partion 2. When I put in the Iboot CD and chose Mac it gave me the problem that I mentioned above. So right now I'm on the second partion the one named Windows 7. Please help me :)

Not gonna lie here, I don't know much about Macs but I did find some things that may be useful to you.

I would follow this link when installing:
tonymacx86 Blog: Dual Boot Windows 7 and OS X Snow Leopard Using Chameleon

and also I ran across a possible fix for your situation

Type -f -x -v GraphicsEnabler=NO mach_kernel arch=i386 cpus=1 in the terminal before installing Mac.

Are you doing bootcamp? If so, go to apple's web site to follow the instructions on proper way to do this. Win7 64 won't install an some macs but supposed to be hacks to do it.

Was thinking your doing this on a Mac, not a hackintoch. Disregard.

Like I said I have no experience with Macs so that fix is just what I found from a google search. They had your exact problem and that fixed it. Maybe someone else here knows more about it but I would think you could boot into macs Terminal (similar to command prompt in windows) with your boot disk and type that in the terminal before you re-install it.

If your computer is an HP, as your system specs says (can be changed under the user control panel on this forum) then it is likely that you are having trouble because of the fact that Apple prevents their OS to be installed on another brand than their own. There are ways around it, but I won't got into details for those.
