Hi guys,
i have installed the Windows XP mode and Windows Virtual PC softwares.
I have added an Dos program and made a shortcut in the Automatic Execution folder of the Windows 7 64 Bit.
The program runs perfectly when i load the windows 7 but it takes a long time to be execute.
Is there any possibility to run it more faster mybe adding additional comands or
maybe setting somwhere some parameters?
Thanks in advance for help.

Your system specs are fine. Most of your problem I'll bet is the Microsoft Virtual PC software you are using to run XP Mode. Microsoft Virtual PC is JUNK.

I run XP Mode using VM Lite. (It's a Free download after joining their forum, also free.) VM Lite was actually designed to run XP Mode as an alternative to Virtual PC. It runs XP mode better and faster with full integration than Virtual PC can. It was actually designed because Virtual PC did such a poor job of running XP Mode.

After you install XP Mode using VM Lite you will see a huge performance boost.

As they are not installable but just a folder with all the files and also the executable inside,
iwanto to know where to put the executable file and ho to do so i can run the programs

Don't bother. VM Lite is even worse--It defines junk. At least MS-VMXP supports peripherals. The delay you're seeing is the boot-up of XP. (It's a separate machine.) If you start it after you boot Windows 7 and let it say, everything on XP runs like a rabbit. And, you can use devices like USB thumb drives, external drives and the CD/DVD. Plus you don't need to load a new version every week.

Hi Mods
Please can you warn people that using VM lite could be breaking the law - not only is the origin (or provenace) of this program "questionable" it also appears to use "proprietary software" for which it is totally unlicensed for.

I'm not normally nasty but this whole vmlite nonsense needs to be sent back to the dark hole it originally emerged from.

Also the links never seem to work -- although icelandic my image basically says link invalid.

I've never ever got a connection to this link and I remember a user Huisingro (or similar) who was also pushing this product before he was effectively removed.

Cheers
jimbo

Post a picture of your Windows XP Explorer screen so we can see what hardware you have. I don't know much about VM Lite but you may be able to copy the folder and files to a USB thumb drive or CD under Windows 7 then open the the drive under VM Lite. Other than that, your best source of support for VM Lite will be from VM Lite.

Here's a shot of my Windows Explorer under MS VM-XP. Note that the "Local Drive (C: )" is the XP C: drive and that "DVD Drive (D: ) is also available to the XP machine. I can also elect to assign a USB drive to XP but I don't think VM-Lite supports USB of any kind.

One way is to create a shared folder in Windows 7 and move your DOS programs there. Start your XP and copy the files from the shared folder to a folder on your XP machine then run the DOS programs from there. You'll only have to do this once. After that, the DOS programs will be on the XP machine.

the host folders are there, look at H: drive inside your vm. Your screenshot already shows that.

click c: d: e: to access host files, you can also do control-c/v for files between host and vm. VMLite runs much faster than ms xp mode. File transfer is also much faster.

please pologize but did not understand.
Where to do these steps?
In the Windows 7 or in the virtual Windows XP?
Can you plese tell step by step the procedure?

you can try to create a shortcut to xp vm's Start menu, vmlite will auto add a shortcut on your windows 7 host. Just play with it, and you will get an idea.
