Hi there,

I am currently using Windows 7 i3 laptop.
There have been problems with the laptop and I can't seem to fix it. It started happening yesterday. What the problem is, is that the computer starts talking without having a browser opened. And sometimes it say different things, but the most that I have always been hearing is something about internet explorer. Once I heard that I tried to go to task manager, and end process on internet explorer whenever the voice came out but that didn't help.
I ran Malware and Spybot Search & Destroy and it detected nothing. So i just want to know what causing this problem, and how can I fix it, because it's a real pain in the ass to have the computer start talking once every like 15 minutes.

Thanks.

It might help to know what make and model of laptop you have.

My first guess at the talking from your laptop is one of the manufacturers programs that is set to let you know about your battery capacity and other things. Some sound like a chatty kathy doll until you figure out what is running it's mouth and stop it from starting with your computer.

Take a look at the programs in your startup folder and see what is there..

I will definitely try and go to control panel and check out the narrator if its on or not.

But may I note that, the talking is somewhat re really random.
Once I heard this man's voice talking about internet explorer and the background music was some scary sounds (like screeching noises in a scary movie).
But most of the time, it is this guy who talks about internet explorer, firefox and netflix? and about how popular it became these days. It was really random.
I tried going to task manager and ending processes of internet explorer, but the voice occurs again after like 15-30 mins or so.

Is this a virus or what?

But after running through Malware, it says I have 5 files that were infected but when the scanning was almost done, the computer shuts down on me. It shut down on me like two times right when the scanning was about to be done.

I would say that is a virus, go to Safe Mode, and run Malwarebytes then, use Super Anti SpYWArE and try an Anti-virus too.

Download the setup.exe files of each antivirus and drag to a device on a CLEAN pc, then insert on infected pc when you are in safe mode.

Had a similar problem monami - it was my ISS blocking it - Comodo Premium - just a thought try disabling the AV while you run the MBAM > update first > unplug the Ethernet and run MBAM.

Another thing I always do is set MBAM as this - saves fair bit of time and doesn't muck around with your ISS app.

Plus just be careful re two AV's at the same time. Personally I would run a better ISS than you have - MBAM good but humm Spybot ??

For checking have a look at these http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/malware_removal

:o, that's really scaring.
It must be virus. I have ever heard that the phishing sites try to affect users' computer via voice talking.
Be aware.
