Change default name of my DVD drive

I folowed this link How to Rename a Drive in Windows 7 to change the default label of my DVD RW drive. That only worked,,, kind of!! What occured was it appended my new name to the original name. It began with the name: CD Drive. After changing the name as in the afore mentioned link it now has the name: CD Drive Sony Blu-Ray Drive. All I wanted to see was Sony Blu-Ray Drive. Anyone know what's going on here & how I might fix this??

Thanks for the reply, but things aren't adding up here. 1st of all I did not find my CD/DVD drive at; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\SCSI. I found it here at; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE.

Now,,, I did not understand "drive / id / FriendlyName" are those supposed to be sub keys that I am looking for? I did find a subkey called "FriendlyName" but it's value did not match up to what I am seeing in explorer for the drive which is CD Drive Sony Blu-Ray Drive. I also did a search on the entire registry for the string CD Drive Sony Blu-Ray Drive and the search found nothing, so I'm not sure where the name on drive showing up in Explorer is comming from.

I've attached an export of my reg key & a screen shot of what I'm seeing in Explorer just for clarification if it helps any.
