System says memory not intstalled

When i go to
Control panel> system and security> System
Under Processor and memory it says not available.
Nor can i access system information when i type "system information" in the start menu.

I have already turned on the WMI performance adapter and it is still not working.

I would start with the System File Checker, see if it finds error that it corrects. If it says it can't correct error found, you may have to run it several times.
