Sound, networking, USB drivers all not working on HP G71 Windows 7

The other night I had noticed that the sound, networking, and USB drivers have failed on my laptop. I ran a full system virus scan on my comp, but nothing came up as malicious. Anyone know how to resolve this issue? I would prefer not to reformat my hard drive at all costs. Thanks guys!

Make sure that you have not turned off your nic or sound by some fn key combonation. For your sound make sure it is not muted.

Will USB items are not being detected?
What USB devices are you connecting to your laptop?
