I own a Geforce GTX 550 Ti SDDR3 3GB card but it shows 256 MB available memory, and also when i go to
Code:
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/
to check if game would run or not it always fail due to that low memory
Here is a screenshot

Is there any solution to set that?
and also from Bios I have selected the maximum DVMT for graphics.

Assuming that you have installed the FULL driver for the card from nvidias website and not just the windows update driver, the answer may lie in you BIOS settings.

I assume that you are on a 64 bit version of windows?

I can't point anything out specifically, but there may be settings in your BIOS WRT the video card that may limit the amount of ram is uses (AGP Aperture, etc). If you were to stick that card in to a computer with 32 bit windows you would have NOTHING left to run your OS/programs unless memory aprturing (or whatever it might be called in your BIOS) was enabled.

I have a Windows 7 32Bit and in bios the only option is for IGD memory which is max to 256 and i have installed this card on PCIe and even if i choose the PCIe slot still the same option lies,
I have 3 GB memory installed in board and i run 32bit OS.
If I install 64Bit windows would that solve my problem/??

Well you would need 64 bit windows as a start. Then your mohterboard may or may not play along. If it's less than 3 years old or so it should work. Your video ram will be mapped out well above your PCs ram and you should get the full amount of it.

However, some older motherboards may be a bit wonky about remapping the video ram above the 4 gig line. Simply because no one ran 64 bit OSes at all really, so MB support for them is sketchy at some point back in time.

I have a DG41RQ and i think it can support 64bit of windows.
But if you look at the ss there it also shows dedicated memory as 3GB
So are you sure that changing windows would solve my prob?
and also aside from the video card i have 3GB RAM in board, and i have heard that if one has 4Gig or more then he shall use 64bit
Correct me please..

Well more specifically if your motherboard ram plus your GPU ram is more than 4 gig then you are wasting memory with windows 32.

You have 6 gig total there and an OS that can only use 4 max.

Normally the GPU ram will overwrite the motherboard ram. So I would /expect/ to see in your case that you have 3 gig of motherboard ram installed but only say, 732 meg usable since your massive 3 gig video card would be stomping all over it. (The video ram would start at 4 gig and come down on top of the upper 2 gig of your motherboard ram) And then your full 3 gig of GPU ram usable. This is what normally happens.

However it looks like your motherboard is probably aperturing your video ram to prevent that from happening. I don't know how or why or if it can be stopped, but even if it could windows would then be unusable since your motherboard ram would drop to less than one gig.

The only hope of fixing it is to go with windows 64 bit. But.. I can't say for sure exactly what will happen with your particular motherboard. At worst your no worse off than now, but there is a good chance you'll be good with the full 3 gig for windows and the full 3 gig for the video card both usable. The good thing is, it'll probably be free to try if you have a windows install disk since both versions are on it. (Have to backup your data and do a clean install though)
