Solved how do i get rid of the hidden icon section of my taskbar?

i have the speaker icon, power, and internet connectivity icon. thats all i want. i do not want that arrow pointing up that has more stuff i dont use. not all of them can be disabled individually, so is there a way to do away with it totally. also i am new to windows 7 and i dont like this "libraries" folder. on my desktop i have libraries, user folder, my documents. they all have the same thing. and when you open libraries it has documents, music, video. when i click documents, it has music and video in there too. the same thing over and over in multiple places. cant i just have a my documents folder like the old days?
