Solved Software for resuming download after connection dropout?

I have heard about software which will allow the user to resume a download should the connection happen to dropout halfway during a large download and therefore not wasting any valuable MB's on a prepaid account.

I know there are many flavours out there so can I have some suggestions as to what you (whoever may view this thread) use or would recommend for this purpose.

I can also recommend Free Download Manager but be careful certain music sites (paysites - if you use them!) don't like these sorts of programmes as mentioned. Most sites do behave properly thankfully.
