Internet Explorer 9 suddenly: Freezing: Slow etc

Hello everyone; Seasons greetings and Happy New Year!

Re: Windows 7 PC and Internet explorer X86 32 bit version with Norton 360

About 3 days ago Internet Explorer 9 all of a sudden started:

- Running slow
- Showing a blank white page when you navigate back to it
- Recovering pages all the time
- Freezing
- Being slow to highlight text
- Being slow to copy text

Internet Explorer 9 has since been run: without add-ons; with individual add-ons disabled; reset; uninstalled and reinstalled.

A Visual Web Developer Update has been the only recent update according to the update list in Control Panel. Explorer is sticking on local host pages too.

Does anyone please have any ideas please?

Try disabling your antivirus to see if you get any improvement. That way you can attempt to see if it is causing any problems (I'm not familiar with Norton 360). Make sure you have all windows updates, especially for IE, and all drivers installed.
