Restore default ClearType settings?

Hi everyone,
I have just installed Win7 RTM x64 on my main system, and I have run to a weird problem. When I was messing around, I found the new included ClearType text tuner, and decided to give it a try. But the results came out pretty bad...everything kind of fuzzy. Tried redoing the tuner, but whatever I would try, wouldn't work. So I deactivated Clear type, and thing got even worse: no fuziness but text with no smoothing at all.
So I want to know if there’s any way to just restore the default values/settings for Clear Type?
Thx everyone..

Hello X3m,

Since you trying different ClearType settings to no avail, you can use System Restore using a restore point dated before you first made these changes to restore them.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Yeah, I tought about that, wasn`t shure it would work do...so good to know. But the problem is that I`ve installed a bunch of drivers and programs since then...so I`ll wait little more to see if I can find a better solution, or System Restore will just have to do it... And just to be 100%: the System Restore, won`t erase the files created with new programs installed, only erase the programs itselff right?
And is their any way, any log I can check (Im not scared by gigantic, complex logs, just have to know how to find them...lol), to find out almost exactly the first time I changed ClearType settings (since I don`t remember to well - I know, pretty dumb, huh?) ?

Thx a lot for the help

The only thing that would be safe from a System Restore are the user files and settings in the user folders. Another option that will allow you to keep everything and fix this is a repair install.

OK, thanks. I'll give it little more thinking, and messing around woth it. Then I'll probably do the Repair Install, and post feedback on how that worked.
