Dual Monitor Problem

my pc is connected to the monitor via DVI
and am trying to connect the tv too using VGA

But my tv showing no signal, i also have the latest nvidia update

my graphic card is Geforce G100

i just want them to be duplicate, and its not detecting it

what should i do?

i just checked my graphic card have dvi and hdmi, so dvi to monitor on graphic card

and vga from motherboard..

What kind of input is on the TV? Is it VGA also, or are you using an adapter?

Is the TV input selector set to VGA?

the back on the tv is vga and it also has hdmi

i just bought hdmi cable online so if no solution then its alright

An HDMI cable will give you a better picture, so even if you get it working on the VGA it would be worth changing it. :)

Why do we keep getting these? You can't use both the onboard card and the dedicated video card at the same time except in some instances and even then you need to tell it in the bios. Both cables should be coming from your dedicated card. You'll need an adapter. Now I see online that some models only came with one connection. If that's the case you'll most likely need to upgrade your video card.

The card spec say that but then the picture they use I only see S-video and DVI. If his card has all those connections I wonder why he didn't just use the card.

You'll need DVI to monitor and HDMI to TV HDMI. You typically cannot use the onboard and video card at the same time. And if you can it is generally not the best solution.
