Audio Scratchy with video and full screen view, such as boston.com

If the video view is full screen, or if i move the mosue, the audio is scratchy . .

Windows 7 x64, 8 gigs ram, Asus p5B - 5 years old board. .
no problem with vista.

check my user name system specs for specifics. .

good suggestions, however, i have already done this, as the W7 pro build is brand new install, the video card is brand new, and all the drivers are up to date, and the monitor has one refresh rate.

so, i suspect that the board is getting old and the BIOS and the like are getting too old,
but that is just a suspicion.

so no change in the scratchiness
